Elfster: The Secret Santa App App Reviews

The whole part of Elfster is the exchanges! What help is it, if I can no longer see who my secret elf pick is, their list and their address? Please add these in! Otherwise, continuing with the webpage on mobile to make it work. Clean and nice design. Easy-obvious ways-to add more to your own list.

Very basic but gets the job done. Missing activity feeds from your friends. The homepage should show activity feeds, recently added, make a wish, and set and see your chosen exchange list all on one page. Way better than the confusing and slow web app for Elfster.

Apple crashes when I tap log into Facebook

After logging in for the first time, there was no option for me to navigate to my existing gift exchange. Also, when I clicked to a screen - there was no way for me to go back. I had to manually shut down the app. Upon opening the app again, I was able to see my existing exchange. But I couldnt view any of the questions that I was asked by my secret santa.

Ive used Elfster for several years and the app is getting better but still could use some work. As the previous comment, Ive experienced the same issue. Also, I have linked accounts under me and the wish lists get mixed up. After viewing one and logging back in to view another, I will see the wish list of the person I was last logged in as. When trying to view someones wish list, if you click on the option to view an item, the page comes up blank. You also dont have the ability to add just a text/written wish like on the website. Ive also had an issue where all my gift exchanges arent there even after I was just viewing it.

This app gets rid of all the stress of the holiday season! Never get a gift again that you dont want! Perfect! Super easy to use and fun; I highly recommend this app for everyone and their families! Happy shopping :)

Since the update I can no longer add items by URL. And you cannot ask questions or answer them in the app either.

Love the idea but with limited store options (all U.S.) it is not that useful for me. Also would be nice if you could add your own photos to an item since the things I add through website links tend to show up as a random icon rather than the item itself. Have not tried the gift exchange feature yet.

App crashes when trying to login with Facebook. When trying to create a new login (as a workaround) I get the very unhelpful error "Failed". Why did it fail? App needs some QA and UX work.

Ive been trying to use this app for 3 years now and it still doesnt work at all. You cant log into Facebook no matter what. Completely and utterly useless.

its better to just use the website because the app doesnt let you log in through either Facebook or email address so you cant even use it at all. someone needs to fix this please, the old app was better.

Cant add items to wish list unless its in the app search inventory. Terrible feature Im deleting this immediately.

There are better integrated apps out there for wish lists; maybe okay for exchanges but useless for adding items vis a vis iPhone to wish lists as the site itself (app issues aside) has login issues and trouble populating wish lists.

I love using Elfster the website not the app! The app is missing the activity log and the anonymous Q&A and its definitely missing the wish list feature where you can add items by searching, adding a direct link and/or adding your own text. It would be soooo much better than having to go through the website on my phone. The wishlist search by category or store is no help. Takes wayyyy too long to find something I already have a direct link to.

I like using this app to access my persons wish list while out shopping. In that respect, I LOVE having this app. However, if I want to add to my wish list and the item isnt on Amazon, its difficult if not impossible to do so. I cant just write out what I want in text only if I only have a general item suggestion to add. This app is a good start but adding variety to the way I can update my wish list would make it a lot better. Adding the interactive question and answer part of the website would be nice as well.

Its Christmas season and I cant even login on the app! Facebook connection crashes, and trying to use my email/password crashes. Can login on the web fine. Whats the point of the app? Get it together.

This app cannot log me in. It keeps going back to the log in with Facebook page. Useless !

Nothing on this app works. You cant even view your wishlist or your group that your exchanging with. None of the links work, and theres no back button!!!

Can never log in through Facebook with iPhone 4S. Junk Login failed thru Facebook login or username. Using Iphone 5 with latest iOS. Crashes. Still junk. Has never worked on any of my phones. Waste of time!
